Festlegung: Stereoisomere Moleküle

  • Bei nn Chiralitätszentren (asymmetrische C-Atome) existieren 2^n2n Stereoisomere [Enantiomere und Diastereomere]. [Einige der "Isomere" sind eigentlich identisch. Wenn sie in der Schulaufgabe aber nach der Zahl der Stereoisomere fragt, stimmt 2^n2n als Antwort trotzdem.]

  • Spiegelbildisomerie liegt vor, wenn innerhalb des Moleküls keine Symmetrieebenen vorliegen.

  • Diastereomere sind Stereoisomere, die keine Enantiomere sind. Sie haben unterschiedliche physikalische Eigenschaften.

  • Meso-Formen besitzen eine Symmetrieebene innerhalb des Moleküls und sind optisch inaktiv.
